ENCAMPMENT SCHOLARSHIP

The family of Adam Slotnick has established a fund in his memory. Adam grew up at Temple Beth Emunah. The happiest times of Adam's life were spent in USY. He made many friends in USY that became life long friends. The catalyst for Adam was USY encampment.

USY Encampment is held the last week of August at Camp Ramah in Palmer, MA. Over 250 campers from all over the New England Region meet for a week of religious camaraderie. Adam's family has decided that the best way to spend the funds that are raised in Adam's memory is to allow someone to go to encampment.

Any current member of Temple Beth Emunah Junior or Senior USY is eligible to apply. This excludes prior winners. Please write an essay explaining how you plan to use your encampment experience to enhance your total USY experience. Winners will be announced at the USY installation. Address your envelope to:

Encampment Scholarship
Temple Beth Emunah
479 Torrey Street

Please do not sign your essay. Write your name on a small piece of paper and put the paper with your name on it in a sealed envelope. Your essay will be judged anonymously.

I hope you take this seriously and apply. You will find encampment to be on of the most rewarding experiences of your life.
